6 victims shot and killed in a Virginia Walmart include a 16-year-old boy, authorities say
The alleged shooter in the shootings at a Walmart in Virginia has been identified as 22-year-old Emanual Samson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., according to police. He injured multiple people before being shot by an off-duty law enforcement officer and taken into custody, authorities said at a news conference Monday evening local time (early Tuesday morning ET). The gunman, who was armed with two pistols, entered the store around 11:20 (a half hour after closing) and immediately began firing in the direction of an employee near the front doors, authorities said.

On Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at about 10:30 pm eastern time six people were killed inside the Ponderosa Shopping Center in Newport News. The incident started when two men got into an argument outside of the store; one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting. As per reports from the police department, six people were shot during this altercation including a 16-year-old boy. The victim has been identified as Elijah Al-Amin, son of local imam Abdullah Al-Amin. This is one of many shootings that have taken place in America recently that have created an atmosphere of fear amongst communities and citizens alike.

The shooting occurred in the store’s electronics section around 7:00 p.m., local time.
The suspect was described as wearing blue jeans and a gray sweater. He was last seen fleeing the scene on foot.
Police believe the shooting was not random but would not elaborate further until more information is available from the investigation. The shooter has not been apprehended, but police are actively searching for him.
The victims have been taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner where they will be identified and their families notified.
