What are the login credentials?
Students, parents, staff and community members are provided a username and password that will allow access for online education programs and applications. A username is the first part of your name followed by an underscore followed by the last four digits of your student ID. For example, if your name is Richard Jones and your student ID number is 700987 then your username would be _rich_700987. Your password will be the same as you have on file with Broward County Public Schools (BCPS). If you forgot or never created a password BCPS can assist you in this process via their Student Access Management System, which provides login assistance for these online educational applications. Where can I find help?
If you’re having trouble logging in to your account on Broward’s Student System, then the first thing you’ll want to do is look for a way to change your password. This can usually be done by clicking on the ‘Password Reset’ link or following these steps. You’ll have the option of changing your password or recovering your existing password when prompted.
To get back into your account, use the email address and password that you used when setting up your account and click login. If you’re still unable to log in, try using a different web browser, restarting the computer with which you’re trying to access the site or clearing cookies and cache from that browser session. What if I forgot my username? Your username should be found on the Welcome page, which appears after logging in to the system.
What if I forgot my password? When entering your username and pressing enter, it should give you the option of either password reset or forgot password. Choosing a password reset will prompt you through creating a new password for your account.
Why does it take so long?
When you try and login, Broward Community Schools checks three things. First, they want you to provide your correct username or email address. Next, they want you to provide the password that you used when first setting up your account. Finally, they will check with the user name or email address that you provided against their records in order to make sure that this is an accurate and current account. If all of these steps are completed, then the login should be successful. However, if there is any discrepancy during this process then it may take longer for them to process your request. There are a few reasons why this might happen. One possibility is that the system does not recognize your credentials as a legitimate identity and instead blocks access completely. The other possibility is that someone else has taken over your account without realizing it and needs to change the password to something more difficult so they can regain control of it. Lastly, if you changed schools but forgot to update your information, the system would block access because it would not recognize you as a legitimate user . You could either contact customer service to help fix this problem or simply change your password at a later time.
Can we change our password on a regular basis?
You can change your password once every 90 days. You must enter your old password, then the new one and a confirmation of the new password. Remember that passwords should be at least 10 characters long with at least two letters and three numbers or symbols. For added security, you may also want to turn on a challenge question so only you know the answer. To do this, click Challenge Question and type an answer such as your pet’s name or where you were born. If someone else knows the answer to your challenge question they will not be able to reset your password. As long as your email address is registered with us, we will send you an email notification whenever there is any activity associated with your account (such as when someone logs into it). We recommend checking your account often for these notifications so you don’t miss anything important. If you have forgotten your login information please use our Forgotten Password utility.
Click on Forgotten Password, enter your Username, and then enter the Captcha code to access the Forgotten Password utility.
Entering the Captcha code confirms that you are human and not a bot trying to hack our system. Where should I report if my account is hacked?
Hello! Recently, I was hacked on my high school’s Broward County School District site. Thankfully, I was able to get the hacker removed and my account saved. All that work may have been in vain though since they took all of my information; what should I do if this happens?
One of the great things about being hacked is that we now know where our account has been accessed from – usually an IP address associated with a physical location like a street address or country. If you have no idea how your account was compromised, then one way to fix it is by changing your password. If you can identify the intrusion, try contacting your school district’s IT team for help immediately so that they can shut down any possible vulnerabilities before someone else takes advantage of them. You should also contact law enforcement as soon as possible so that they can help you recover any stolen data or money.
Remember to keep strong passwords at all times and use multi-factor authentication when possible so that it will be much harder for someone else to access your personal information or accounts without your permission. Another thing to remember is that not every kind of breach has to lead to legal action. Even if somebody got into your email account, you don’t necessarily need to file a police report. That’s because not every violation needs to involve malicious intent or theft of private property. So even if someone got into your account by guessing your password (which isn’t very hard!), there might not be anything wrong enough for police involvement unless you’re under 18 years old and/or have done something illegal (like downloading illegal content).
